More recently, your baby crawled on all fours in the socks, and today he briskly runs barefoot on the floor. It’s time to think about buying the first shoes for the baby. The choice must be made correctly, because the formation of the foot and the entire musculoskeletal system of the crumbs depends on the quality of the first shoes. And it doesn’t matter, these are boots for a girl for spring or winter boots for a boy.
The very first shoes should be spacious, comfortable, simple in design. The sole must be flexible so that the baby can freely bend the foot while walking. This is easy to check: bend the sole with both hands inside, firmly taking the shoes with both hands from the side of the heel and sock. If the sole bends in the middle, good, and if closer to the toe, then it is too hard – the baby will be uncomfortable in it. In this regard, you can draw up the rules for choosing the first shoes:
Shoes should be made of natural materials – do not save on this.
Shoe fastening (fastener, Velcro, laces) should carry out a tight fixation of the boot in the area of the ankle
The height of the boot should be sufficient in order to wrap the ankle, supporting the ankle joint
The back of the boot should not “move out” – select shoes with a hard back.
It is undesirable to purchase the first shoes on flat soles, the heel must be (but not more than one and a half centimeters)
The embossed insole will support the foot in the correct position
Closed nose of the boot will protect the baby’s fingers from abrasions – young children often stumble.
When choosing a size, you also need to be neat – it is advisable to measure the child’s foot every three months, because the baby cannot say whether he is comfortable or not. Suppose a gap between the thumb and the edge of the boot of one and a half centimeter.
Following these tips, you will pick up your baby comfortable, comfortable shoes.
