Nutrition of a nursing mother: what to pay attention to

The first months of the baby’s life, experts call the fourth trimester of pregnancy for a woman. And they have every reason for this. After all, the baby, although he was already born, is still very dependent on the nurse. Moreover, the nutrition of a nursing mother plays a huge role.

The balance of the female diet is directly proportional to the quality of breast milk, and therefore the baby’s health. Therefore, it is necessary to pay special attention to the variety of dishes. It is desirable that mother regularly eats meat, and, giving preference to low -fat beef varieties or bird. At least twice a week, it is necessary to include boiled fish in the diet: hek, carp, cod, pike perch. Mandatory use of dairy products: kefir, yogurt, fermented baked milk. As well as all kinds of casseroles, cheesecakes, simple cottage cheese. Do not forget about cereals: buckwheat, rice, millet, etc. Every day you need to eat at least one vegetable or fruit. From sweets, pastille is allowed, homemade jam, jams, marshmallows and marmalade without dyes.

Take it very seriously to products that, theoretically, can cause allergies. These are eggs, chocolate, citrus fruits, strawberries, any semi -finished products, some seasonings and spices. The first two weeks you can not use anything from the listed list. Then, gradually, literally on a teaspoon, you can enter the components into the diet, carefully observing the reaction of the child. It is better to forget about foods containing preservatives, dyes and other “chemistry”.

And one more restriction. Cabbage, seeds, all legumes can cause fermentation in the stomach in the baby. Therefore, with them, too, it is worth it to wait.
