Curtains allow not only to decorate the window opening with fabric curtains, but also to change the geometry of the room. Producing curtains for curtains of two types – wall and ceiling. Installation of the latter is more difficult than wall -mounted ones, but it is they that allow you to make a room with a low ceiling visually higher, as well as wider, if the curtains are attached along the entire length of the room – from one wall to the other. The method of installing the curtain on the ceiling depends on the type of surface.
Installation of the curtains on the reinforced concrete surface begins by applying marking. Determine the middle of the window opening or the center of the room if the curtain is attached to the entire wall. Metal and wooden curtains are most often produced with ready -made holes for fasteners, which must be transferred to the surface of the ceiling. In plastic products, holes are made independently, marking 10 cm on each side under them. Between the central and extreme points on the ceiling with a step of 50-60 cm, the rest of the marking is applied to fasteners. In accordance with it in reinforced concrete and in the curtain make holes. Dowels are clogged into the ceiling and mounted by means of screws of curtains.
The installation of a ceiling curtain in a stretch ceiling is carried out even before pulling the fabric or PVC film. A small niche is made under the curtain in the ceiling, and the stretch ceiling is mounted with a slight indentation from the window opening. Thus, the curtain is attached not on the canvas, but on the black ceiling. This niche will not be noticeable, but still not always convenient. Therefore, you can install a curtain in a stretch ceiling in another way. On the draft ceiling along the length of the curtains, a beam or small plywood sites are exhibited. Their thickness should completely coincide with the height of the stretch ceiling. It is important that the position of the plywood or bar corresponds to the place of installation of the curtain. After tearing the canvas, the curtain through it, working as neatly as possible, is attached to the beam or plywood.
