All pipes for sewer today can be divided into 2 large groups: cast iron and plastic. The first for a private house is too bulky and relatively expensive. The installation of such pipes is rational only in production, where the sewers can circulate very active in chemically substances.
In addition, they are good at those enterprises where sewer pipes are often exposed to too low, or extremely high temperatures. Therefore, in the process of laying the sewage in this case, it is better to give preference to pipes made of plastic. At the same time, you need to understand that they are different. To date, the following types are distinguished:
1) polypropylene;
2) polyvinyl chloride;
3) polyethylene.
Polypropylene pipes are not tough enough. Therefore, some types of rodents can damage them. So the installation of the sewage system using such pipes should be carried out only in the room, but not like the territory adjacent to the house.
As for polyvinyl chloride pipes, no rodents are dangerous for them, because their structure is very strong. Another plus is excellent resistance to low temperatures. However, such pipes also have an “Achilles heel”. We are talking about prolonged exposure to temperatures from 40oc and above.
In the case when these pipes fall into such unfavorable conditions for them, they can be caused quite serious harm. In consequence, they will most likely fail, and the owners will have to spend money on repair work.
Polyethylene pipes are deprived of the above negative qualities, so their use is practically not limited if we are talking about private houses and residential apartment buildings.
