Parallel-sliding. In fact, such mechanisms allow you to make a compartment from simple doors, they are used both in cabinets and in other types of furniture. What are the advantages of such mechanisms? The main of them is a significant saving of space. The doors do not open “from themselves” or “on themselves”, but only to the right and left. It turns out that the space around them remains completely free and it can be used by the owner of the apartment at his personal discretion. True, there is one nuance: if the passage into the room is very small, then installing such systems is quite problematic (for example, if we are talking about the kitchen, toilet or bathroom);
Folding-growing. These are the so-called doors, which are popularly called “accordion”. Unlike compartment -type doors, “books” do not require a connector for the wings, they just add up. In general, their main advantage can be called compactness. Of course, in a closed form they will occupy a certain space, but it should be borne in mind that such doors have very small thicknesses, therefore, the space will be occupied only slightly;
Manual and automatic. Everything here is extremely simple: such doors can be opened and closed either by pressing one button, or manually. The first option is very similar to the blind system: you need to press only one button attached to the door panel, after which they will close or open. Although it is not so difficult to manually open the doors. As for the cost, the automation in this case does not play a big role and does not significantly cost the cost of the entire sliding door system.
